Estate Tax &
Liquidity Estimator

A clearer starting point for your legacy conversation. Explore a simplified Philippine estate-tax scenario using today’s values, then consider the funds your family may need.

Educational planning estimate only. This is not a BIR assessment, tax return, valuation, or legal advice. Future law, ownership and asset values may change. Read the scope and disclaimer before relying on any result.

1Check your scenario

For the married scenario, enter the full value of shared marital assets. The model removes half the net shared estate after shared debts. Do not subtract the spouse’s share yourself. Marriage alone does not establish equal ownership.

Examples: foreign assets or tax credits, recent inherited/gifted property, insurance-proceeds tax treatment, trusts or lifetime transfers, disputed ownership, business/share valuation uncertainty, or deductions beyond qualifying family home and verified debts.

2Build the asset picture

Enter approximate values in Philippine pesos. Leave a category at zero if it does not apply. Include each asset once. For non-marital co-owned property, enter only the person’s attributable interest in the “Personal / exclusive” column.

Without this confirmation, no family-home deduction is applied. A second home or investment property belongs under other real estate. Values entered here are assumptions, not approved tax valuations.

3Account for verified debts

Enter only debts or unpaid mortgages that a qualified professional has confirmed would be deductible under the assumed scenario. Supporting records and legal conditions matter. Do not include the estate tax itself, funeral costs, or general future expenses.

4Consider available funds

Optional: enter funds you have identified for the estimated tax. Count only funds expected to be accessible for this purpose; availability, beneficiaries and timing need review. This amount does not reduce the tax calculation.

The funding gap covers estimated estate tax only. It excludes settlement fees, debts, family living costs, interest and penalties. It is not a recommended insurance amount.

Amounts are processed on this page. They are not sent to us or saved by this tool. Closing or reloading the page clears them.
